The Paleo diet is pretty healthy as it promotes eating whole, real foods instead of chemical-laden processed foods. According to research, the cavemen ate about three times more fruit and veggies than we do today, and their diets were higher in protein, fiber, and Omega-3s. they also got more minerals and vitamins from their food than we do. This sounds like a very good way of eating for a baby, but people still judged Shannon for it.
Were Cavemen Really Healthy?
Though the diet that the cavemen ate was certainly healthy, there are a lot of things that people who love Paleo tend to forget. The cavemen ate healthy, but they weren’t necessarily healthy people. The people of the Stone Age had a number of health issues including diseases and parasites. So, even though they were putting good food in their bodies, they still had a lot of health issues to contend with.
