René and Céline married in 1994, in the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. The wedding was lavish, and also broadcast live! Céline wore an enormous crystal headdress, which reportedly weighed 7 pounds. Her dress cost $25,000 and had a 20-foot train trailing off it. The couple also conducted a press conference together immediately after the ceremony. Céline and René have also faced their fair share of challenges as a couple. In 2002, René was accused of sexual assault by a woman named Yun Kyeong Sung Kwon. She claimed that he assaulted her in Las Vegas, at the Imperial Palace Hotel. René denied the allegations, which were found to be faked. It must be difficult to be in a relationship where people try to take advantage of your situation, but René and Céline have stayed together and supported each other through thick and thin.
