You Probably Ignore Seasickness
You are very much aware that seasickness exists, but how much attention do you give it? Both cruise company websites and media portrayals make it easy for you to just gloss over the fact seasickness is a very real problem. Even if you do think about it, maybe it doesn’t seem like much of an inconvenience to you. How bad could it be, right? You get sick for a moment, then you deal with it, then you go back to having fun, correct?
The Reality of Seasickness
You may never experience seasickness at all, which is what you want to happen. However, you should be aware of the possibilities if it does affect you. It’s not just a thing that comes in one moment and is gone in the next. You can find yourself with a spell of overwhelming nausea for what seems like an eternity. This is expected, considering that the stimulus doesn’t go anywhere. Remember also that others are on the cruise and things can go downhill very quickly when you have a mass of seasick people.
