Markus was actually the first baseball coach for Jimmy at the club where he was scouted. At the time, he did it as a side job for a friend. He worked hard with Jimmy because the kid was motivated and showed obvious talent. Then, Markus told other scouts to check him out, which was why he got to the pro leagues.
