Cassandra Peterson had quite the memorable appearance on The Tonight Show when Joan Rivers was one of the guest hosts. On the Halloween 1985 episode, she showed up as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, Peterson’s gothic vampire alter-ego that she starred as in films and cameo appearances including on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
